Synopsis
The world’s most famous superhero and most famous comic book journalist confronts the pressures and complexities of balancing work, justice, and parenting in modern society. The pilot pays homage to Action Comics #1 (Superman’s debut) by giving the first live-action look at the hero’s original Golden Age costume. The iconic green car from the cover is also featured. Superman flies past the WB logo and transforms it into the DC Comics logo.
Both logos are red and blue and are set on the Kent farm

I would give seasons one and two a 9 out of 10, but only a 4 out of 10 for season three. We finished season three a few days ago and were very disappointed. The cancer storyline dominated the entire season, which some praised but others found unwatchable. There are many scenes in each episode where they just discuss cancer, and in some episodes Superman is either not seen at all, or if he is, it’s only fleeting.
What a difference!
However, we watched it and were relieved when Lex Luthor showed up towards the end of the series and it was more like Superman again. We finished the third season and went straight back to the beginning of the first. The first season is so beautiful; the action is great, the effects are great, and the acting is great. It’s a completely different show.
We really hope that the fourth season returns to the old Superman and Lois
As a family that has experienced cancer (like most), the third season just didn’t feel like Superman. It was very depressing at times and not the escape from the “real world” that we need after a hard day at the office.
