Synopsis
Charles, a retiree, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a private detective and becomes the mole in a secret investigation in a nursing home.. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”. Remake of El agente topo (2020). I’m not much of a watcher, but I ruined the entire season on the first night. It has the right mix of warm, funny, sad and deep with a story that keeps you hooked. Ted Danson of course is great, but Stephanie Beatriz (Diaz in '99) is wonderful and her character is someone you want to spend all your time with. it’s set in San Francisco, which of course helps my rating, but most of all, even though it’s very sad at times, it’s a comedy and gives you hope for the future because we’re all getting older. A solid eight out of ten for me, one for all ages and who knows, hopefully another season.
