A modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs
Watch writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV shows on IMDb, ranked by user rating. A landowner, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights in order to lease those rights to the company they represent. Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases, so they can drill for oil and gas.
They’re well written and entertaining
Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, housing for the workers (man camp), assemble the drilling machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also, in part, troubleshooters, problem-solvers, and facilitators. Referenced in CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). Apparently I’m a sucker for Taylor Sheridan shows.
It’s grossly gratuitous
At this point, I’d gladly watch anything that had her likeness in it. But what’s with the girl in her underwear and the creepy sexualization of her? It’s extremely weird how disgusting he is with that. It’s almost so disgusting that I don’t want to watch it.
The ex-wife is just ugggh
However, so far I’m invested in the story. I also don’t understand why the women are so utterly disgusting. She’s really a pain in the ass. Is the show geared only to attract men?
Always a plus
I love Billy Bob though.
